Basic Classes
My basic classes are far from the basics. With most instructors your CCW permit class meets the minimum requirements by law. With all of my classes I strive to give that little bit extra. I provide current, up to date training, seminars, and advice. Take one of my classes and compare with friends and you wont be disappointed in the quality, attention to detail ,and safety I provide.
Basic Concealed Carry
This is the National Rifle Associations Basic Pistol Course, which meets and exceeds the Ohio Revised Codes requirements for a CCW Permit. The lesson includes both classroom lecture and range qualification. Classroom lecture covers the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude for safe handling, operation and care of a firearm. Ohio's most current, up to date laws regarding concealed carry, proper transportation of a firearm, and the castle doctrine will be discussed. Range qualification will cover familiarization and handling of a firearm as well as a little extra for caring concealed. All courses are 12 hours total time minimum by law. Lunch will be provided.
Course duration: 1-day, 8a - 8p unless noted otherwise. (2-day, and 3-day options available by request)

Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, carry firearm, cleaning kit/supplies, and a positive attiitude. Outdoor range-dress appropriately. Don't have a firearm yet? Contact me before purchasing one.
Recommended equipment: Additional magazines/speed loaders, concealable holster, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system, water.

Concealed Carry License Renewal
This course is for the concealed carry permit holder in need of a renewal or just wanting to get a couple hours of range time. Meets the Ohio Revised Code minimum requirements with certificate. Concealed draw scenarios utilized.
Course duration: 3-4 hrs
Course tuition: $ 40.00
Student requirements: Valid CCW Permit, note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, carry firearm, concealable holster, spare magazine/speed loader, and cover for holster (jacket, long shirt, vest, etc. This is concealed carry remember.)
Recommended equipment: Additional magazines/speed loaders, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system/water, dress for the weather outdoor range.
Ammunition requirements: 100 rounds
AR15/M16 Familiarization
The following topics will be covered:
· Firearms safety · Introduction to the AR-15 / M-4 rifle · Nomenclature · Mechanical operation of the AR-15 / M-4 rifle.· Disassembly / reassembly.· Function checking the AR-15 / M-4 rifle. · Fundamentals of shooting a rifle.· Basic gun-handling skills.· Loading / unloading the AR-15 / M-4 rifle.· Sling use and carry techniques.· Zeroing iron sights.· Understanding projectile trajectory.· Malfunction clearance techniques.· Threat assessment and area scanning. · Shooting positions - standing, squatting, kneeling and prone.· Standard drill evaluation.· Preventive maintenance and cleaning.

Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, AR-15 or M-4 style rifle, at least 2 magazines, cleaning kit/supplies, and a positive attiitude. Outdoor range-dress appropriately.
Recommended equipment: Additional magazines, carriers, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system, water and clothing suitable for contact with the ground.
Ammunition requirements: 150-200 rounds
Refuse To Be A Victim
The seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow. Strategies include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety, and use of personal safety devices. Students will receive the Refuse To Be A Victim student handbook, NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement, and a course completion certificate.

First Steps - Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun
NRA FIRST Steps Program is designed to provide
a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation
to one specific firearm type for classes of four or fewer students.
This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and
range time learning to shoot a specific firearm action type.
Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the
particular firearm model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting
fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for
skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shooting
handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship
Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.
Course duration: 4 hours
Course tuition: Free - $15.00 depending on grant availability
Course student limit: 6 per instructor
Student requirements: Eye and ear protection. Outdoor range dress appropriately.
Recommended equipment: Pen, highlighter, and notepad
Ammunition requirements: Provided

Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge
Rifle -
This course is at least 14 hours long and
includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students
learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation;
ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the
bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions;
cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun
Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification
booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and
course completion certificate.
Shotgun - This course is at least 10 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
Course duration: 10 Hr Shotgun/ 14 Hr Rifle
