I have been involved with firearms for almost 20 years. I am a local law enforcement officer with over 12 years service. My current position is in a plain clothes/investigator status where I carry concealed daily! I have provided protection for cabinet members, political dignitaries, and sight security for several President's and President-elects in the course of my employment. I am certified through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTA) as a Unit Instructor at the Lorain County Community College as a Police Instructor for their police academy.
I also served in the Ohio Army National Guard as a sergeant and team leader in the Military Police Corps for 8 years. My service included deployments for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed to Iraq, my unit was responsible for training the Iraqi Police Force and combat patrols throughout Baghdad, Iraq.
I have obtained my National Rifle Association Certification as an instructor in several disciplines. My primary motivation was to provide quality training from my experience. As I looked at area training, very few provide additional or advanced classes. It's one thing to receive your permit or to keep a firearm in your house. And it's another to properly, safely, and legally deploy them. This is why I have started Wolf Defense.
